Mount Rushmore is considered a completed work, with the four faces literally chiseled in stone. Other than routine maintenance and cleaning, nothing significant is being done to it. Every now and then there’s a suggestion that famous US President “XXXX” have his face added, but that’s about as far as it goes. There are other exhibits in the area.
