As I am starting as a tour guide in Dawson City (specializing in the gold fields), I should know this! However, I am unaware of any notable murders at all, at least not here. The mounties were very strict with people coming in, and carrying guns etc., like in the Wild West movies was forbidden here. It was a wild place to be sure (and still is), but mostly it was whiskey, women, and song, not violence. Those who had struck it rich could afford the very best, and did, but for most, it was much hard work and disappointment. I know of some things that happened to people on the way, particularly in Skagway, Alaska. But, by the time the prospective miners arrived in Dawson, the “bad guys” were mostly weeded out. There was a case in 1911 of two partners who died in a murder-suicide, but that was a long way’s from Dawson (Salt River near the Mackenzie). I found
