Were there any great war mistakes?
Depending on your opinion, having the war at all was the biggest mistake just to mention one. Definantly yes, there were mistakes. From the Zimmerman Telegram to the failure to properly mobalise against France quick enough, the German tactics were badly implimented. The leadership of Jutland under one admiral cost the British many ships that would have otherwise endured far more damage had thier saftey doors been used, and had an effective blockade been properly established around Germany’s seas sooner it could have helped bring the war to a quicker end. Trench warfare defensive tactics were highly effective while offensive tactics resulted in massive causalties for barely any gain or benefit. Depending on your definition of a ‘mistake’ there are hundreds.
