Milpitas police on Friday night investigated a fatal shooting at the Great Mall’s parking garage. Just before 7:30 p.m., a man was shot and killed at the two-story garage. The victim’s identity was not released. Although the mall remained open, police sealed off a portion of the parking structure as they investigated the shooting, near the Sears store. Friday’s homicide was the city’s second in less than a month and only the second in two years.
