Since it appears you’re being graded, can I offer a little tweak to the terminology in your question? The victims of genocide died. The survivors of the genocidal raids were rounded up into camps. It was a long stay in the concentration camps, but those who lived through it did eventually get out. International aid organizations and the International Red Cross worked to keep them alive and bring in western governments and Thailand to help people out of the camps and into better lives in other countries. That took over 20 years in some cases.
