Were the roaring twenties liberal or conservative?
After WWI ended in 1918 the people came back home and started to move from an extreme conservative mindset. It got so wild that the extreme conservatives amended the Constitution and created the 18th amendments called prohibition. This caused the progressives or “liberals” to have what is called the roaring 20’s although it was mostly hidden, there were massive parties and gambling going on. So in general the majority was conservative, but the progressive liberal movement was growing every day.
