Were the people delivered by Moses from slavery in Egypt were the same people who betrayed God ?
Well, let me give you a corollary: Jesus delivered me from eternal separation from God, but I still sin. The Children of Abraham, the Jews – the nation of slaves led out of Egypt by Moses and their descendants who became the nation of Israel – did indeed often stray from God’s ways and follow other religions. But if anyone had ever been capable of not betraying God – we never would have needed Jesus. Heck, God created Adam from dirt, spoke to him Personally, taught him, demonstrated His Reality to him before his very eyes – and still, when Eve became deceived and disobeyed God’s instructions he chose to turn his back on God rather than risk losing Eve. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God – there is none righteous, no – not one, save Jesus Christ alone, God as a man, Who although He was without sin, suffered the full fury of a fallen creation so that He could claim The Authority to save us from the consequences of our unrighteousness.
