Yes. Over the evaluation period, the mandate and objectives of the two MMS laboratories were consistent with departmental and federal government priorities. The laboratories’ S&T programs were also relevant in the context of NRCan and the federal government. Internal perspective At the NRCan sector level, the three main MMS strategic outcomes are aligned with NRCan’s departmental priorities (Table 8), which are to develop, implement, and deliver policies, programs, and S&T for the sustainable development and responsible use of Canada’s resources (including mineral resources).
