Akhenatan (I don’t remember how it was spelled) completely changed their religion and way of life, worshiping only one god. After he died they erased all records of what he had done, and destroyed all his monuments. Below, yes, they did leave some things, but that was accidental. We found his tomb, and a few surviving records, but most of it had been pillaged by grave robbers. They obviously just did a better job of erasing the Israelites. And, there have been some things found.
