Were Seth and Cains lineage the same?
They were different lineages, but we combined at a point which is not told in the bible. In Seth’s lineage, Jared is said to have fathered Enoch. In Cain’s lineage, Cain is said to have fathered Enoch. Both of the men named Enoch are said to have fathered a man named Lamech, so it can be assumed that they are one in the same. The bible is unclear as to when the lineages intertwined.
