Were second class on Titanic closer to first or thrid class?
They said that traveling in second class was like traveling in first class on other ships. it’s almost true. I watched a Titanic docu and there was this historian who said that, “in second class you are trying to be a first class, in third class you are nothing.” FOOD – Their meals were delicious. Before the Titanic hit the iceberg at 11:40 pm on April 14, 1912, the food for the second class passengers was prepared in the same kitchen as the meals for those passengers in first class. They were served baked haddock, curried chicken and rice, spring lamb with mint sauce, roast turkey, roasted potatoes and plum pudding, along with American ice cream, assorted nuts, cheese, fresh fruit and coffee. ACCOMMODATION – Like in first class, second class cabins also had electric lighting, heaters, sheets and curtains and wardrobe.
