Were losingall out oak trees and indiginous trees in the UK through IVY strangulation?

Yes that’s fact because not far away where I live there is a small wood that is partly exposed to the elements. There are beeches and birches and sycamores that have been blown down by the strong winds that we’ve had. We have a small goup of conservationists that wear green overalls, and one day I asked them what they could do to save trees to falling down, and they said not much because what the wind does not blow down the helix ivy is growing on them and extracting the sap from them. It’s a great pity because a wood does’nt look like a wood without any trees.
