Were Italy and Spain screwed by Fifa at the 2002 World Cup?
I only saw the match between S.Korea and Italy, and it was absolutely the most ridiculous things ever; there were something like three regular goals for Italy which were not allowed, plus penalties given away and players being sent off without reason. You could hardly call it a real football match. It is even more ridiculous that people have the courage of speaking up for this shameful scam. I agree it was probably in an attempt to conquer new markets that this was made, but really it shouldn’t work that way, and it risks being counter-productive, as S.Korean football fans will just have to bring the shame of what happened on them for a long time.
