Well, the places where you can meet people are the same as in many other countries… The main ones are clubs/pubs/discos, Florence has got a good number of these places and you will find many people there. But during summer you will find also many people that like to enjoy open air wandering about the city without having a specific destination, so this can be another chance for you if you don’t feel like going to disco/pub. Gelaterie are not exactly a good place to hang out; people go there only for having an ice-cream but stay there just few minutes, gelaterie could be compared to McDonald’s, people don’t go there to meet someone new but in most cases go there in order to get something to eat.
