Were can i turn up the water Temperature on my boiler?
Okay let me explain. Your boiler heats water and sends it through pipes. There is a valve called a diverter valve or sometimes called a mid position valve. Now the heated water can go to your central heating, or to your hot water taps or both. If it only goes to central heating, it is stuck in one position. If it only goes to water taps, it is stuck in the other position. Your problem is that it only heats the hot water when the central heating is on. Now let’s think about that. Okay, I’ve thought and here is my conclusion. Your hot water is heated in a cylinder called a secondary cylinder. Secondary because it has two methods of heating water. Through the boiler or through an element. Normally you would not use the element. Inside the cylinder is a coiled pipe where heated water runs in from your boiler and back out to your boiler, and it is continually recycled. It has no problem doing this when your central heating is on, but can’t do it when just set to hot water. You have two choi
