Were Cain and Abel NOT made in the image of Adam?
I thought and taught that for years…keep reading. In Gen. 9:6 God was making His covenant with Noah and He reminds him of man’s origin, and this is obviously written after the flood. God still considers man to be made in His image. By the way, this also gives God’s opinion on capital punishment, which He carries into the New Testament in Rom.13:4. Sorry, that’s off the subject for this question. Seth is mentioned because the bible is written in reference to bringing Christ into the world and Seth is in the direct lineage of Christ. Abel might have been if Cain had not killed him and Cain could have been, had not his disobedience disqualified him. Hope this helps.
