Were any primitive symbols found in the Chauvet-Pont-dArc cave?
Aside from the hundreds of paintings, in unusual styles, of predatory animals, the Chauvet cave does contain some interesting symbols: some suggesting genitalia that may be fertility symbols, and a depiction of a half-woman, half-bison creature.
