Were all schools supplied with information from the ATO in relation to eligible education expenses for students?
The ATO issued a promotional email in June 2010 to state and territory education departments, non-government school representative organisations, parents and citizens organisations for both government and non-government schools, the Isolated Children’s Parents Association, the Australian Association of Special Education, and local community services associations (state and territory). This email requested that schools advise parents of the education tax refund, and also provided a link to the ATO website where schools can find answers to commonly asked questions, Education Tax Refund – questions and answers for schools.
