The story of Genesis was actually borrowed from Meso-Sumerian mythology. The archetypical characters of Adam, Lilith, and Eve, were used to establish the status between genders and dominance. In the story, God favors Adam as the dominant gender, Lilith supposedly unfavored by God because of her strong independence was cast out as a succubus, and Eve, the submissive yet strong and silent type of ideal wife. Genetically speaking, the mythology may suggest that both may have been created from the same DNA strain, if this is the case, they may be genetically inter-related, which could suggest that Eve was a clone of Adam engineered into female form.
