Well, what does make DDR Extreme new and exciting?
The New Music Unfortunately, for many of us it seems the music in DDR is only getting worse. As a Japanese game, Asian music is what it (should be) all about. In DDR Extreme we see the return of many old favorite songs and artists, including some definitely Asian music. Unfortunately, the song that really bugged me on the release of DDR Extreme is the song “Kids in America”. I mean seriously – it’s not an American game, the song has no real place. I think they’re trying to make the music of Dance Dance revolution more appealing to the majority. The Village People’s Y.M.C.A. also makes an appearance. As catchy as it is, it (in my opinion) takes away from the authenticity of the experience. Old favorites, including one of mine – Peace-Out, do still make an appearance. The game also includes the necessary piece by Captain Jack that’s became a part of DDR games.
