At times, science teachers who are creationists have wanted to teach evolution — but do they really know enough about science? Can they be trusted to teach evolution fairly? Remember that creationists don’t merely disagree with evolution, but generally regard it as an evil secular ideology which damages morals and is more likely than not designed to undermine Christianity. It seems implausible that anyone can teach a scientific field if they sincerely believe such things about it, even if they could teach a science that they weren’t personally convinced by. What’s more, we can’t ignore the fact that creationism is not completely isolated in biology.
