wear down or erode?
Neo-Tec Ionizers are made from stainless steel, which is high corrosion resistant. In which case, it is highly unlikely that the needlepoints will corrode, as they typically do in most needlepoint ionizers. In the unlikely event that this happens though, you will not be left with an ineffective negative ion generator, which is the case if the needlepoints erode. Your first option is to sand the needlepoint (or electrode) down past the corrosion. After doing so, the ionizer would perform as good as new. Between the stainless steel material, and the ability to sand down the electrode, the ionizer should last for many, many years. You can even buy replacement electrodes if it ever came to that, for a mere $10 per set. In other words, the needlepoints in your Neo-Tec purifier should always produce high levels of negative ions for you.
