We want Relocate RedAlert to a new Server. What are the steps to do this?

Follow these steps: 1) Copy the entire RedAlert folder (and its subfolders) from the old server to the new server. We reccomend keeping the same directory structure on the new server. 2) Change all icons on work stations to point to the RedAlert on the new server. For example, if the command line was \\oldsvr\apps\redalert\redwin.exe, change this to \\newsvr\apps\redalert\redwin.exe. 3) If the system will actually be used on the new server (i.e. RedAlert actually executed and not just used as a file server for the work stations), then follow the instructions for configuring a new work station. 4) Archive the system on the old server. Before doing this you may want to keep the system resident to ensure that everything is working properly on the new server. At minimum, however, erase the redwin.exe file on the old system to safeguard against someone accidentally running the old system.
