Public Affairs is working with the Chief Communications Officers across campus to create a system that would allow for more targeted electronic communications to replace many of the brochures, posters, announcements and invitations currently mailed to faculty and staff across campus. Electronic options for the Student-Staff Directory and Inside Illinois also are being explored, but print materials will not be eliminated completely as long as some employees do not have access to computer terminals on which to view such documents. Additionally, Public Affairs offers electronic letterhead that may be used for email, faxes, and internal communication to campus units at no charge.
