The bacteria require both macro- and micronutrients to grow. Macro nutrients include compounds like nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium and micro nutrients include compounds such as copper, manganese, molybdenum and many more. Normally, final effluent water contains sufficient macro- and micronutrient to meet the minimal bacterial requirements. In the event that the effluent is deficient in either macro or micronutrients, supplemental nutrients could be added to the effluent to be used as irrigation water. If you have questions regarding the suitability of your final effluent water for irrigation purposes or if you need supplemental nutrients, please call our Process Group at 856-258-6969 x114.
