We live in an apartment but want a Shar Pei – Is this a good idea?
The Chinese Shar Pei typically does quite well with apartment living although they should receive regular exercise. In addition, because of smaller living area, it is even more important for early training and socialization with children and other family members. Keep in mind that while the Shar Pei can make a wonderful pet, it tends to be aggressive toward other animals. Therefore, anytime you take this breed out to exercise, make sure it is secure on a leash.
