We just passed a school referendum in 2002. What happened to all that money?
The referendum passed five years ago in 2002 was a building bond issue. It was used to respond to enrollment growth by building new schools and additions and making repairs on other schools. By law, our District could not use any of that money for operating costs. In 1995 and 2001, the School District asked voters for more operating funds to do just that, but both measures lost. 5.
