We have a school-based day treatment program. Is a physician also required to visit weekly or are staffing and consultation enough?
Day treatment is no longer reimbursable under MRO. If your question is about CAIRS, in order to receive reimbursement, clinical oversight must be provided by a licensed physician, who is on-site weekly and available to program staff when not physically present. This holds true even when CAIRS is provided in a school setting.
