We are aware that government entities in Western Australia may be required to capture and retain aerial photomaps in the course of their business. NearMap itself performs full archiving of all our PhotoMaps, including maintaining duplicate copies in our data centres across Australia. • In addition, we can confirm that government entities are able to retain hard copies of our PhotoMaps where our PhotoMaps form part of the formal records they are required to retain. For example, if our PhotoMaps are part of the corporate record of a local government’s approval of a planning application, our Paid Government Licence entitles the local government to print copies of the PhotoMap tiles covering that specific location and keep them on file, even if their licence with NearMap lapses. • In terms of electronic retention, we can also confirm that government entities may retain formal records described above in electronic record keeping systems, such as TRIM.
