Because the intern is supervised by a grant-funded staff person, you may count all of the activities of the intern under the appropriate sections of the form. THE NUMBER OF VICTIMS WE’VE BEEN ABLE TO SERVE HAS INCREASED SINCE RECEIVING VAWA FUNDING. HOWEVER, IF WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPORT THOSE SERVED BY GRANT-FUNDED STAFF, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO REPORT EVERYONE WE SERVE. HOW DOES THIS REALLY SHOW THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OUR GRANT? You should report the number of victims/survivors served indirectly in the Narrative section to show the effectiveness of your grant. Indicate how the numbers served has increased as a direct result of VAWA funding in your community.
