We check every day for additional development requests (ADRs), and we’re not seeing any – how long does the process take?
There is the potential for claims to go into ADR (s/loc S B6001) every day, but we recommend checking at least once week by using FISS Option 12 or Option 56. A very small percentage of claims are selected for ADR, so the majority of claims pay without undergoing medical review. In addition, only a portion of the claims that meet the parameters of a widespread edit are selected for review.
