Yes, you can apply Nansulate® to a running unit that is between 100-120C by use of a “misting method”. In this method, the coats are misted on very lightly to the surface in order to avoid blistering of the water-based coating. There are more passes needed in order to achieve the same mil thickness, however no downtime of equipment is needed. You can find the application instructions for detailed information on this method here: Nansulate High Heat Instructions. Generally, the minimum time between each layer is one hour. However if you are applying using the method above, then it would be approximately 30 minutes. (The coat should be dry to touch, and non-tacky).
