We are exchanging data with CMS to obtain Part D via the Prescription Data Services portal. What benefit is there in expanding into the Voluntary Data Sharing Agreement?
Medicare Part A and B primacy identification and Medicare Part D compliance reporting can both use the Voluntary Data Sharing Agreement, but have different values to each employer. The Prescription Data Services (RxDS) portal for exchanging Medicare Part D is important for compliance, but that is the extent of its purpose. The Voluntary Data Sharing Agreement will give Medicare Parts A and B information, including dependent information, and will provide start and stop entitlement dates. You will also be free of future Medicare Secondary Payer Debts.
