We are a small institution with few resources and little digitization experience. Can we still participate in AlabamaMosaic?
Yes. AlabamaMosaic is organized especially to help any repository create digital collections for public access. AlabamaMosaic is a statewide effort, and its current contributors assist other sites by giving advice on planning and creating digital collections. Most can also assist with some training. Potential contributors are encouraged to schedule a site visit to the Auburn University Libraries, the University of Alabama Libraries, or the Alabama Department of Archives and History for training in getting started. An advantage of participating is that AlabamaMosaic is designed to assist smaller repositories with creating digital collections so they do not have to first invest in new equipment or special digital content management software.
