WaveMode and other visual plugins don show up. Why could this be?
A. Make sure you’re using MacAmp 1.0b7 with the “MPEG Audio” plugin is in the MacAmp plugins folder, and also make sure that “XAudio” plugin is not. Q. The plugin shows up in the plugins menu and when selected draws itself on the screen properly like it’s going to work, but then doesn’t do anything else. A. Make sure you’re playing an MPEG file. All other kinds of audio (i.e. CD’s, MOD’s, etc…) do not work interactively with visual plugins. Q. It seems to work, but it’s really slow. A. Well…it’s not too efficient and requires a moderately fast PowerMac to get reasonable frame rates. Also, make sure you’re not running something like Microsoft Word or Internet Explorer while WaveMode is running in the background. It kind of comes down to a bloody duel between WaveMode and Microsoft, and Microsoft stomps all over my poor hapless plugin. Q. If I open and close the WaveMode a few times, my screen goes blank, the clock flickers, and the pointer changes from arrow to watch back to arrow t
