Water Skippers?

Question Do you know of Water skippers. They live in ditches in Idaho, I was wondering what they eat. We are having a problem with mosquito larvae in our pond. What would be the best way to get rid of them. Answer I am not familiar with Water Skippers. Usually skippers refer to a subclass of butterflies, but I don’t think that is the type of organism to which you are referring. If you could provide me with a little more information (is it a fish or insect?), I could probably provide you with some information about their diet. The link below has information on skippers: Major Insect Orders. Mosquito larvae are best controlled by small fish, which is why mosquito larvae tend to be found in stagnant water. A healthy fish population should eliminate mosquitoes from your pond. For more information on mosquitoes and their control see: Mosquito Information.
