Water from Toledo Bend to cool power plant?

0

Question I have recently built a home on Toledo Bend and moved here. I was talking to a man who told me a pipeline had been built to pump water from the Sabine River/Toledo Bend to a power plant (I think in Rusk County) for cooling and then would be pumped back to the river/lake. Is this true or just another rumor? If true where can I find more information about this? I am interested in how (or where) the water will be pulled from, how much, and where will it re-enter the lake. Most power plant lakes I have fished typically have better fishing in winter near the warm water discharge. Thus, my interest. Also, when will this water begin to be pulled and will it have any adverse affect on TB’s lake level. Answer It is true that water is being transferred from Toledo Bend Reservoir to a power plant in Rusk County. The water for the power plant is being pumped through a pipeline from the upper end of the reservoir and the power plant discharges the water upstream of the intake in the Sabine
