The presenter had been enjoying the party in Krystle nightclub. When she left to drive home, shortly after 11pm, she hit the cyclist who apparently had veered out in front of her. The cyclist was unharmed in the accident and was able to get up and brush themselves off but it ruined the night for gorgeous blonde Mulcahy. The TV3 babe told friends that it was just her luck to have a cyclist cross her path on her way home but they emphasised that she had not been drinking beforehand. The ‘Xpose’ girls were all smiles yesterday as they gave a colourful send-off to Sybil Mulcahy at the end of a hectic weekend. Model-turned-television presenter Glenda Gilson put on a brave face and pushed her personal troubles to one side on the final day of the ‘Xpose Live’ fashion fair. On Friday afternoon, property developer Johnny Ronan (52) issued a press statement declaring that his relationship with Ms Gilson had finished. Ms Gilson and her co-presenters bade Ms Mulcahy a sad farewell as she left to front a new morning show with TV3 weatherman Martin King. The departing Ms Mulcahy had worries of her own after she was involved in a road collision with a cyclist at the weekend. The collision happened as the presenter was on her way home at around 11pm on Friday night after making a brief appearance at the ‘Xpose Live’ after-show party at Krystle on Harcourt Street. While the cyclist escaped without serious injury, Ms Mulcahy was said to have been shaken by the incident.
