Was water-boarding effective?
Look people with bigger willies than you have looked into this and discovered that torture of any kind is not only not effective it is downright dangerous. Not to the victim, but to the security services, because anyone undergoing torture will say anything their torturer wants to hear to stop the torture. So some innocent shop keeper from Bradford will admit to being Al Qida’s top operator in Europe just to stop the torture. He gets thrown in Jail and Al Qida’s top operator in Europe carries on with his nasty work unmolested. Even a buffoon can see its not effective, so you have to wonder why it happens, my own opinion is that some people just enjoy torturing others.
yeah some people think torture is effective some people think the spanish inquisition was effective, too torture makes people tell you what you want to hear. if they dont have any real information, they will tell you whatever they think you’d like to hear. in civilized countries we have realised that its counterproductive… of course, if you prefer to live in a country that condones and uses torture, you are very welcome to move to Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan…
