Your first question should be what is a furry? There is no defined answer for that one. You could say that Indians were the first “furrys” They took on the attributes of the animals around them. You know like “Running bear”, “Swift eagle”, “Puma” etc. Disney on the other hand made use of animals in there story’s because they are easy to understand. You know when you see a fox he’s going to be fast slick, or sly. you know when you see a bear he’s going to be dumb and strong. They give you Iconic information that you don’t have to use words for.
