Was Uncle Steve on The New Lassie really supposed to be Timmy?
The way the story postulated it, yes: when the Martins moved to Australia, they hadn’t properly adopted Timmy (uh-huh after seven years!) and he was removed from their custody. Embittered, he started going by his middle name, Steven. He was then adopted by the McCullough family. Ruth Martin later turned up at the McCullough home under a new married name, Mrs. Chadwick.
