Yes, both. On a related note, not only was it the first joint venture between the two companies (which are now essentially one, anyway), but it was also the first fully computer-generated, full-length motion picture. I remember watching it when I got back from my mission to Spain. My dad came into my room and I told him to take a look. In typical fashion (you have to know my dad), he watched it for about a minute and declared, “Well, the toys look real, but the people look like toys, too!” He then went off about how it’s fine if they want to make a computer-generated film about toys, but they should make the people look like people, and walked out amidst my protests that it was a wonder of modern technology, anyway. Ah, Dad….
