An earthquake hit Salt Lake City on April 15, 2010 & registered a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was about 75 miles northeast of Salt Lake City. The earthquake hit just before 6 pm mountain time. The earthquake earthquake was felt as far as Provo and Ogden all the way to Jackson, Wyoming and Pocatello, Idaho.
