I consulted the ‘Canon of Eclipses’ by van Oppolzer and Gingerich ( Dover, 1962) and could find only a single total solar eclipse in this region within 5 years of that year. The eclipse was on may 9, 1011 B.C in the Julian Calendar, and according to the Canon, it began just before sunrise from Latikia. There were no other solar eclipses visible from this region except one on February 23, 1016 which was a partial eclipse.
