Was the windlass crossbow used after Duke Williams conquering of England?

Generally the English used the longbow (as made emphatically clear at Agincourt). The windlass crossbow was very much a European weapon. This is not to say that Englishmen never used crossbows, simply that if they ever did it was less common than the longbow and to sufficiently less important effect. On the whole, the crossbow was the missile weapon of choice in continental Europe (further east and the composite bow is more popular).
