Was the roman emperor Octavian?

0

Actually, he was a great emperor. He instituted rome’s first fire brigade and police force. He centralized the government, increased trade and conquered lands. And he made life for the conquered people better as well. He actually greatly improved Rome, and its people were more loyal and happy. His rule actually marked the begining of the Pax Romana or the Roman Peace, which lasted 500 years. However… after his uncle, Julius was murdered, he came to the senate and demanded to become emperor and they couldn’t refuse… he had a like security or little army thing outside the doors. He never proclaimed himslef emperor but he was one… the roman republic was no longer… other then that he was a very nice guy and ruler!
