1 The Transport Manager confirmed that wherever possible the Council did investigate alternative ways in which to provide school transport including the staggering of school times. However, that option was more suited to the urban areas, as opposed to the rural areas of the county where large distances had to be covered to transport children to school. Additionally, the Council regularly reviewed the school routes to maximise the use of transport.
