Like I said earlier, there’s a big difference between the effect a suicide would have as opposed to assassination. Assassination would make Hitler look like a martyr, an object of sympathy to his followers, as it did those early Christians who were killed by the Romans. So it could well have strengthened the resolve of his followers to fight on, as it strengthened the early Christians in their faith.
