In other hand, finally there was a small participation of Spain in the war. The anticomunist bias of Francoist regime triggered the formation of a division of volunteers to figt in the eastern front against the societ Union. This group of volunteers is known as Blue Division or Spanien Divisionen. They fought mainly in the siege of Leningrad. Spain also sold wolfram (a mineral necessary to make ammunitions) to the germans.
