Was Soviet Union considered to be the Russian empire?
For sure,russian people were very proud of the fact they conquered all of eastern europe and half germany.as well as all the federation countries and then also the places that are regions but should be countries,ie Chechen and dagestan and tar tar and siberia.The notion of oppression and conscience didn’t mean much to russian folk.The british Empire was cruel but always riven with some debate,not so in russia.The amount of countries that russia has controlled by violence is staggering.Unlike Britain where a bi product ended up with those countries having democracies and good sense of economic and business management and entrepreneurship.India,hong kong NZ Aus America canada etc.Russia took everything and left the countries broken and poor.Britains empire was about business and money,Russia’s was about pride on the world stage
